Lead Robotics Technician

Qualifications / Requirements

As a GreenSight Lead Robotics Technician, you will:

  • Produce complete robots and subassemblies in low/middle-volume production runs of 50 to 500
  • Build engineering prototypes
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and test drones and robots
  • Follow, as well as help formulate and improve, procedures for manufacturing and testing
  • Assist in formulating and improving the company’s Quality processes
  • Maintain the manufacturing space and R&D laboratory
  • Contribute to the design process through failure analysis and proposing improvements
  • Grow into new roles and responsibilities as they arise


Essential Background and Skills

  • Good electronic troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Experience with hand tools and measurement instruments
  • Read electronic schematics
  • Candidate must have or be able to earn an RPIC license (Part 107) from the FAA. Candidates without current RPIC must be prepared to study and pass the exam within 2 weeks of starting. GreenSight will provide extensive study materials and pay for all expenses involved with the exam.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented


Ideal Candidates will have some of the following skills :

  • Proficient at soldering and SMT rework
  • Cable and harness assembly proficiency
  • CNC machining and basic CAD skills
  • Basic Linux and networking proficiency
  • Experience working in a QMS environment, for example ISO9001
  • Experience building and flying drones or other robots, either as a hobby or professionally
  • 2 or 4 Year degree preferred
  • Capable of training and leading other technicians

Compensation / Benefits

Salary is highly dependent on experience. It starts at $75,000/year.
