GreenSight Presents Vision for Ag4.0 and Wins First Place at the Venture Forum 5-Minute-Pitch!
GreenSight was selected as the top pitch at the Venture Forum’s 13th annual 5-Minute-Pitch contest at Worcester Polytechnic Institute! Over 50 companies applied and GreenSight beat out 8 other finalists in the live pitch event to win the “big check”. Pitching at the event was GreenSight’s VP of Advanced Communications, Panos Lekkas.
Over 150 attendees, both entrepreneurs and investors, were there on April 23rd for the celebrated Central MA pitching event.
Panos Lekkas pitched the audience on GreenSight’s vision for revolutionizing agriculture using data, artificial intelligence and robotics. GreenSight has spent the last four years building the industry’s best automated drone intelligence platform, deploying it at over 200 sites all over the world and conducting over 4500 automated flight operations. We’ve refined our drone technology to the point of absolute reliability, and received multiple waivers from the FAA for beyond visual line of sight flight. Now we’re ready to close the loop on agricultural intelligence: we’re building a robotic high volume agricultural crop spray system. Our intelligence combined with our high volume spray robot forms the ultimate prescription to application engine for Ag4.0.
GreenSight’s new drone spray platform is capable of applying chemicals to over 80 acres of farmland per hour, matching the throughput of full scale manned aircraft platforms. Manned aerial application is one of the most dangerous occupations in the United States, but also among the most critical for US food production. Research has shown that over 50% of US food production is dependent on aerial application.
The new aircraft is dubbed “EndureMax”, an all electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicle capable of lifting over 25 gallons (400 lbs) of liquid and flying for up to 30 minutes while fully loaded. It is designed to be highly portable, transportable by a single person and goes from truck to the air in minutes. It integrates directly with the company’s leading intelligence platform, applying variable rate prescriptions fully automatically.
This platform is the first high volume robotic aerial application system in the world. GreenSight is conducting pilot operations with this new platform in summer of 2019 to a select group of early adopters. Please contact GreenSight for more information on spray services or partnership.
