Part Time Assembly Technician

April 29, 2026

Job Description

GreenSight is a dynamic, fast paced small company developing robotics technologies to transform industries. We have built one of the most widely deployed automated drone intelligence platforms in the world, and develop products combining robotics, remote sensing, artificial intelligence and communications. We welcome all those who have big ideas, crave innovation, and have the passion to bring innovative solutions to life.

We are seeking a driven, self-motivated Part-Time Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to build, test, and package our drones and robotics. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in "owning" the production process from the first screw to the final shipping box.

As a member of a small, agile team, you aren't just a pair of hands—you are a champion of process improvement. We want someone who looks at a task and proactively suggests ways to make assembly faster, safer, or higher quality.

Key Responsibilities (under the supervision of a Robotics Technician)

  • Precision Assembly: Produce robots and subassemblies in low/middle-volume runs (50-5,000 units).
  • Prototyping: Build engineering prototypes and provide feedback on "buildability."
  • Troubleshooting: Identify, repair, and test drones and robotic systems to ensure 100% functionality.
  • Process Improvement: Follow existing procedures while actively helping to formulate and improve manufacturing and testing workflows.
  • Quality & Fulfillment: Assist in quality control processes and oversee final packaging for shipment.
  • Lab Stewardship: Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient manufacturing workspace and R&D laboratory.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Legal Status: Must be a U.S. Citizen (due to compliance/contractual requirements).
  • Communication: Must be fluent in English with strong documentation skills.
  • Technical Literacy: Ability to understand work instructions and read simplified electronic schematics.
  • Manual Dexterity: Proficient with hand tools and basic measurement instruments.
  • Efficiency: Ability to work independently at a quick pace without sacrificing thoroughness or "attention to detail."

Bonus Skills & Experience

  • Electronics: Experience with soldering, SMT rework, and cable/harness assembly.
  • Troubleshooting: Strong electronic diagnostic skills.
  • Mechanical: Understanding of basic operations of a drone and mechanical systems.
  • Software: Familiar with the Google suite for documentation and instructions.
  • Quality Standards: Experience working within a Quality Management System (e.g., ISO9001).
  • Passion: Experience building and flying drones or robots as a hobbyist or professional.

You must be comfortable in a fast-paced, "all hands on deck" startup environment. We value responsibility, organization, and the desire to grow into new roles as the company expands.

Compensation / Benefits

$30-$35/hr. Salary is dependent on experience.
